




Concept
The shelter-house is a response of the shelter, because waste does not magically disappear. The dwelling uses the material recover from the shelters used during disaster.
Structure
The main principle of the house is in its foundation. The construction is supported by 6 concrete piles of 9 meters height. The piles lift 6 meters the dwelling to create a semi-open space. During a future disaster they act as an anchor and can be lifted up to 6 meters during floods. The bamboo structure is used as a secondary column.


Module
The dwelling consists of 18 recycled shelters, which are organized around a courtyard serving as the entrance.
Floating Space and Installations
The dwelling follows the same principles as the shelter by providing a floating space which is used as well as to serve as storage and room for the installations.
